First time perhaps last

This was my first time here. I arrived about 4:30 on a Tuesday. They warn you not to wear sun glasses. I came in out of the rain, the place was so dark I had to feel my way past the empty tables and chairs.

There were only two customers sitting at the bar. No entertainers on the stage. No music playing. The only entertainment was a TV playing a news station. The brightest thing in the club was the hair of the one entertainer engaged with the two customers.

I found a seat at the bar and the barmaid asked for my order, brought it to me. End of conversation. There were two other entertainers sitting about 15 ft from were I sat. Neither moved. They just sat there drinking water or soda and never made an attempt to come over or even talk to me. Didn't make any difference to me. They were at best 5's and late 30's early 40's.
