First visit in nearly 20 years!

On the recommendation of a friend I decided to drop by SR to check out the new renovations and the talent level for a Sunday evening. Given the fact that my last visit was way back in 1998 there were certainly a number of improvements made since then starting with exterior of the building. Parking was plentiful out front when I arrived around 20 minutes to 6 PM. My IDs got me in the door without a cover charge and I even managed to secure a free drink in the process which was very nice of management.

I started out in the new section of the club which is very impressive even by Las Vegas standards. By 6:30 pm everyone was ushered over to the old side of the club after the cleanup crews had finished their work. The main stage lighting was darker than most clubs I have visited to include BSC in Phoenix. From the bar area it was hard to guess the approximate age of any dancer on the main stage which probably impacts the amount of stage tipping that occurs on a nightly basis. Anyway I was contend to consume several $5 mixed drinks before 7:45 pm. Important to note bar time is 15 minutes ahead of real time for happy hour prices. I was told by one of the staff that the menu was pretty decent so I ordered a steak sandwich, fries, and a standard domestic for a grand total of $7 which was a great deal. The order has to go in before 7:45 PM to get that price. After that time regular night prices kick in so be quick! For the next three hours I watched the night shift dancers gradually make their appearance but I am pretty sure the best girls were probably no-shows on a Sunday evening.

There seemed to be a fair number of girls from south of the border as well as Eastern Europe working which made the conversations interesting. I don't recall meeting anyone below the age of 25 and several were in their 30s. The club itself was starting to get a little busier when I left shortly before 11 pm but it certainly wasn't crowded by any means. Parking in front of the club was still available as I made my way to the car which I suspect would not be the case on most nights.
