Wasn't expecting much. Didn't get much.

On a work trip, had some time to check out the "scene" in San Diego. Based on the reviews, wasn't expecting much, hence the "quotes." But even so, decided on Deja Vu Midway...maybe the California girls were worth a spin.

Easy place to find, parking was well-lit and ample. Went in and paid cover, walked into a very large room. I had a hard time deciding where to sit because I didn't want to get mobbed. Settled in to a booth-like chair and chilled out.

DJ called the girls to the stage, and I was completely UNDERwhelmed. Mostly white girls, but I couldn't say much else. I'm from back east (Baltimore) and I was getting pissed at David Lee Roth. "California Girls" was a lie, but I did see a few I liked. After the call up, the girls made their rounds and I spoke with two. Both with more of an "edge" to them, both carrying a few more pounds than I'd like, but they were the best available.
