This Place Has Potential

Intro: I was in Tijuana Monday-Wednesday June 5-7 and spent almost all of my time at Hong Kong Gentlemen's Club (see submitted article, when published, for lots of details on crossing the border and making the most of your time and money). On that Tuesday, I met up with a fellow TUSCLer, who gave me an early-evening (7:30-8:30) tour of other clubs in the area, and I thought I'd post a brief write-up on each.

Bar Tropical is right across the street from HK. No cover. The place was (at least to me) surprisingly lively for this hour on a Tuesday evening. Couples were dancing on the dance floor to loud music. There were about 20 girls (that I could see) who mostly stood around or sat. I did a lap around the room to survey the talent, whom I found to be mostly attractive (something for everyone), but the girls spoke very little to no English. My Spanish is barely passable, but I was able to make a little small talk. Bought one girl a cerveza and sat with her. I was a little handsy with her, but she was not as, um, outgoing as the HK girls across the street. Although the girls here typically go arriba to the hotel upstairs, it's my understanding that the girls are allowed to go with you to Hotel Cascadas across the street (next to HK) if you have a room there. My TUSCL friend and I ended up not staying long before returning to HK, but I would return to Bar Tropical.
