BOUNCERS TELLING PEOPLE TO MOVE EVERY 5 MINUTES
This club's informal policy of bouncers seemingly being able to dictate to patrons exactly where they should sit or stand has reached the point of utter absurdity.
Much of this is due to the horrible design of the club's entire lower level, where there is no space except for the raised seating area in front of the stage (and even there one is prone to being given "directions" to move at any moment).
Some time ago I witnessed the height of this nonsense. I noticed a well-dressed guy having a beer and jotting business notes (no idea why but hey - he paid for his beer) in an entirely empty section at the back of the club with about 20 empty seats around him. Some fidgety staff member with messy hair comes around and tells this guy to move like he just committed a criminal act. The guy (understandably imo) didn't understand why he had to do so as there were plenty of empty seats around. Apparently, five other guys were coming in. While the bouncer is berating this guy, the five guys who just arrived went ahead and seated themselves in a perfectly viable spot a little ways away. Smh. A short time after, the note-taker left. Can't blame him.
