After months of planning, I visited Toronto for the first time last weekend. Going to a strip club was not the reason for my visit, but I entertained the thought of fitting it into my vacation agenda. I settled on this club and booked a hotel relatively close by. It was to my surprise just how close to the club the hotel was. I was able to walk from my hotel to the club in about 2 minutes.

I arrived at the Brass Rail shortly after 9pm on a Saturday night. The front enterance was wide open and I was greeted by the door attendant as he was stationed outside the front entrance. There was no cover charge to get into the club. Once inside, I saw that the club was already packed. I was able to find a table close to the stage and shortly after sitting down, one of the wait staff came over to take my drink order. Beer was priced at $10.25. The club layout looked really small compared to how many people were in the club.

Shortly after getting my drink, I moved to an open seat at the stage. I happened to be sitting by some other American tourists that were visiting the club. There wasn't much stage tipping going on (as is typical in Canadian strip clubs), but when a dancer did put on a good show, myself and others did tip in American $1's. Occasionally someone from a table would walk up to the stage and tip a Canadian $5.
