Cheetahs is classic Hollywood bikini bar

California has two basic types of "strip" clubs: one with fully nude dancers and no alcohol served and the other with a full bar and dancers in bikinis.

Cheetahs is a bikini bar, and I should add at the risk of sounding like a club owner, probably the coolest one in L.A.

They bill themselves as Cheetahs Hollywood - but it's basically east East Hollywood, more like Los Feliz. Went on a Friday night with a friend visiting from out of town. I was already a few drinks in when we arrived, but I don't think we were even charged admission at the door. Don't know if that is typical. The exterior looks like any other bar and I am sure that some out-of-towners must sometimes stumble in and are surprised to find the stage and brass pole. Typical layout, the bar is to the left, long stage with about 25 seats and then tables and couches off to the other side.
