Still my favorite in NC
Went back to Treasure Club having not been in a number of months (I only go when I fly through RDU). Details in earlier reviews from me, but much of it still holds. FWIW it's a 21 and up club (I saw a few people get denied entrance, even though it was the girl's birthday and she was dressed like she was going to have some fun).
The bartender, door man, and VIP room manager are all still the same people who have been there for years and I like all of them. Recognized some of the waitresses too. A few familiar faces in the dancers were around (Alex and Violet) and I got a couch dance from each of them. Alex is fun though honestly she talks too much during dances (it's one of the reasons I hesitated to get a full 4-song set from her). Violet is fun and bubbly and I would have considered a 4-song set except that I had hit my budget for the night already.
The real surprise of the night was Jay though. I hadn't seen her in probably 2 years and last time I asked she wasn't working there any more. She has now moved back to the area and is working again and is just as amazing I had remembered, if not actually more-so. She's smallish with a firm, athletic figure and a highly asymmetrical hair style (she used to be half-shaved but now it's growing out), lots of tattoos (which I like), and a clear punk/rock vibe. I didn't get a chance to see her dance on stage (she's an incredible dancer so that was a shame), but we went up for a 4-song VIP set ($100, 2-way contact) that was incredible. I'm going to gush a little at the risk of over-hyping. Perhaps things won't be quite as good, I dunno, but I think it's worth trying just for the chance that they are.
