Improved, but still the only game in town

Went to Athens for a trip last week. Always a fun trip and good to see some buddies. Toppers is the only club in Athens for many years now but I have to say that they have continued to improve for their last few years with the additional improvement of eliminating smoking inside! What a huge improvement in the quality of experience for non-smokers. The two smokers in our group simply went to have their smoke breaks when ready, then rejoined the group. I seriously wish some of the Atlanta clubs would go to this model. Baby Doll's in Dallas had it and it was amazing.

They continue to do a better job with finishes and furniture in the club. The couches in VIP were in almost new condition and they actually had granite counter tops, soap and paper towels in the men's room. Enough about the atmosphere...on to the dancers!

This club had mostly white and a few Latin dancers. On this visit there were not any black or Asian dancers. Overall the girls were attractive enough but maybe less so than my visit around a year ago. As seems to be the trend, there were even more tattoos and piercings than last visit. It was interesting to watch the girls interact with the group I was with. They were immediately trying to figure out if we were first timers, local or visiting. I just listened as the first two or three dancers would quote dance prices which ranged from $10 floor/air dances (most were quoting $20) to $40 "VIP" dances. To refresh, Toppers has a communal VIP room and then small/private rooms. It takes a $10 wrist band to access the communal VIP room. They write the time on the band and it is good for a certain amount of time - 30 minutes or an hour I think.
