Keep Going Back and Nothing Changes...

I don't know why I continue to come back here, I think I remember the old days or maybe I've had one too many beers and convinced myself it will be different this time around. I headed to Jens around 7:00pm on Thursday. Sat down ordered my beer and didn't have to wait long. One of the three dancers there approached, I guess it didn't hurt to be one of the three guys in the place. The girl was a short spinner type and the one I was probably waiting for. She gave a good barstool dance, but towards the end of the song really started laying it on for a tip.

For me, this is a big turn-off. I'm a good tipper, but I tip on service not on request. When she requested, I smiled and pretended like I didn't hear her, however she kept on. I ended it after one song, gave her $7 for a $5 dance and just hoped she would leave. Instead she pulled up right next to me, began shouting to the bartender about how the people who come in this place are cheap and bad tippers. She was doing one of those yelling just enough so I could hear her, but pretending she wasn't talking to me. Bartender asked if I wanted another beer, I told him "no" and I'm not sure if I'll come back again.

It can't be that hard to fix the strip club scene in Akron, I don't understand why no one seems to be motivated to do so. I really believe the police are most worried about the drugs, where if someone ran a clean establishment with cute girls and cheap drinks, they'd probably do well.
