Worth the wait

It's been almost a year since my last visit to Millstream. Unfortunately the management last year somehow matched my reviewer persona to my actual persona, and per a dancer friend, some degree of hell broke loose thanks to a somewhat negative review which focused on the changes in the price of private dances.

Well, tonight there was a 6 hour delay in picking the spouse up at BWI, so the first part of my wait was spent at Fantasies. But after a while I had my fill of that, and so I decided to take a chance and revisit the Mill. Turned out I shouldn't have worried, at least on this Sunday night. Some new bartender faces, a security person with a T-shirt saying "Security", and some updated upholstery, bar chairs and cabanas, but otherwise, the same old compact, local neighborhood strip club/restaurant, featuring an interesting mix of male and female PL's. Much of the bar was full and several tables were taken. Drinks were strong, and the excellent chicken noodle soup still comes in a trough.

But a few things have changed. One, a pleasant surprise, was the full-length songs in lieu of the 2 1/2 minute snippets. I think it may have been courtesy of the Internet jukebox serving as the entertainment this Sunday night, but it made less artificially hyperactive, a welcome change. The other difference, which may be a positive or a negative depending on your preference, was that of the 7 or 8 dancers who were there, six were WOC while two were Caucasian. In the past, the ratio was the opposite or sometimes closer to 50/50. Whatever, the stage dances were far more entertaining than I've seen at other clubs, and I definitely appreciate the cage-like center stage where you need to approach it with your dollars, and in turn the dancer will give you immediate stageside attention (face full of boobies, leg wraps, and various pole tricks). It also helps if one of the dancers is the ever-popular Jocelyn, the lean, fit, sexy blonde who dances to country songs, clomps her boots on the floor, is highly limber, and often highly busy with private dances.
