I went to Nuevo Senorial Men’s Club on a Friday afternoon around 15:30. There was no cover charge. The inside is very basic. There is a small bar to your left as you enter. You sit on plastic patio chairs with Tecate branding. There is one stage with a pole. The entertainers are more prostitute than dancer, so don’t expect any pole tricks. When one of the ladies is put on stage, she just walks around the pole in circles or shakes her ass. There is a shower stall in the corner for shower shows. I ended up drinking Sol because they did not have any ice cold Sincweisers. The clientele was mostly Americans: Mexican-Americans from the north bank of the Rio Grande and Winter Texans. Music is played by a DJ. He played a lot of reggaeton and South Park Mexican.

The dancers are Mexican ladies in their twenties, mostly from Matamoros. There were seven working on the afternoon I visited. I would rate them between a 1 and a 6, being optimistic. All of the dancers had children as seen by stretch marks, loose skin, and widened hips. These ladies are not doing this for fun, but because they have mouths to feed. All conversation was in Spanish; I do not think any of the putas spoke English. A couple of the waiters seemed to know English and could translate for you if you are not a Spanish speaker, but if you rely on them, you may end up paying gringo prices. It is much better if you can speak fluent Spanish and keep the maseros out of the picture.

When you enter, you get your first lap dance free. If you are interested in a girl, you buy her a drink. These come as 7 ounce miniature bottles of beer (usually Tecate). For the length of time it takes her to drink the tiny beer, she grinds on your lap, lets you grope her all over, and chats. It seems dancers will take about eight to ten minutes to drink their beer, maybe longer if you are a regular. I paid $10 for a dancer beer and a bottle of Sol for myself. I believe $7-8 of that $10 was for the dancer’s drink. The twenty-three year old mestiza that I spent the most time with wanted me to take her to a private room for an hour at $50. There was also a $10 fee to rent the room, so it would have been $60 total. She said we could do whatever I wanted during the hour: I could golf on her three-hole course. I did not take her up on her offer because I did not find her attractive enough, but it was exciting to know bargain bin pussy can be had in a Tamaulipas border town.
