Visited: Thursday After Midnight

This was my first visit to this venue in a little over a year, so it was my first time after the remodel and rebrand from Shark Lounge to Candy. They definitely tried to go with a more premium club vibe with the decor. More space inside than before. A black and red plush leather motif that feels like stock photos or a film set for a generic "classy" strip club. Of course, it's still Daytona, so classy only goes so far. For me, all the things I liked about the Shark are still there. That is to say, drinks were reasonably priced by club standards ($5 well liquor, $6 brand liquor), and the girls were still fun and a bit rough around the edges.

I got there a bit after midnight on a Thursday. Paid $5 cover and entered a club that was not dead, but close. 5-7 girls were working, with maybe 10 customers. So I had barely sat down by the time a girl approached me and stuck up conversation. This suited me fine, as she probably would have been my top or #2 choice of the lot. She was a petite, thin brunette with an athletic frame and mosquito bite breasts. If you like thin girls (healthy, not emaciated) she was right up your alley. Also in the club were two voluptuous black girls, one thick white girl, and two curvy, well-endowed white girls. At least those are who I noticed. Probably mostly 5-6s, with one or two outliers on either side of that range.

The girl and I had some easy conversation. She was happy to take the lead in that respect. Two drinks each ($11 a round) and a few dollars tipped playfully while she went to stage, and then we went to VIP. The VIP space is brand new. There are maybe 6 or 7 booths with fairly little privacy. You can't see into the other booths from where you are sitting, but if the bouncer walked in, he'd be able to see each booth pretty well. Still, in classic Shark Lounge fashion, this didn't stop the girl from being very giving. I was quoted $25 per song, which seemed $5 too high to me, but I didn't argue. With the right girl, it seemed like extra may be negotiable, and that girl has always been easier to find at the Shark than some other places. I left about 1.25 hours after I arrived, about $200 lighter and with a smile on my face.
