Felt like I was home with a nagging wife

I was staying in Princeton for work and decided to stop in and chill out for a while that evening. There were a handful of cars in the lot at around 10pm. When you enter the club there is a 1 way mirror that you have to give your ID to be scanned and then they buzz you into the club. Once I was buzzed in I took 5 steps into the club and was immediately grabbed by 2 dancers who began basically fighting over who was going to be "working" me that night, or I should say working my wallet. It was a very awkward display and after arguing they tried to play it off jokingly, but it was very strange. The dancer who "won" the argument walked with me to the bar and before I could even order a drink started asking me to buy her a drink. Normally this is the one think I don't spend money on in a club because the $20 drink you buy the dancers basically does nothing for me and they have to split it with the club, I would rather just tip them directly. When I told her I wasn't going to buy her a drink she got visibly angry that I wouldn't. I ordered myself a beer and she sat at the bar with me making basic small talk, but kept asking repeatedly for me to buy her a drink. Finally she was called away from the bar by another dancer so I made my way to the stage to see the girls dancing. I was there for no more than a few minutes and the original girl found me again and sat down next to me. She began complaining to me because I left the bar and didn't tell her before I did, which I found really odd. I laughed it off and she went straight from complaining back to telling me to buy her a drink. At this point I honestly felt like I was home with a nagging girlfriend rather than out at a club to relax and have a good time. I quickly finished my beer, told the dancer I hoped she had a good night, and got up and headed for the door. This must have really pissed her off because she followed me through the club cussing at me for wasting her time.

I'm not sure my experience is the norm for this club, and really hope it isn't. If I'm ever back there I may try it out again, but on this night I I wish I would have just stayed at my hotel.
