Steadily improving

I've got to echo the other recent reviews. For quite a few years, CCR was a distant also-ran to the better DC clubs. The girls were a step or three down, the place was dumpy, and the location, although easy to get to, makes it hard to find parking. But things seem to be looking up.

I only came by because I stopped at the nearby Kabob Palace, which is open 24 hours. After eating, I said "ah, fuck it" and stepped inside. There's no cover, so I was prepared to take off after a beer, or immediately if it was really dead. To my surprise, it was fairly busy, with a decent number of dancers circulating. A short-haired brunette was working the stage (Nikita, I think), and I really enjoyed her style. I stuck around for two beers, about 45 minutes, before leaving; it was the best visit I'd had, in terms of dancer quality. I thought Toni was the best of the bunch.

The girls are still wearing pasties, you're still not going to get a lap dance, and you're still (probably) not going to be taking anyone home. But if I happen to be in the area again and have time, I'd stop by. I mostly haven't bothered before.
