It's time for prepay dances
Visiting El paso after a long time. Though, i read about some bad experiences, thought i would give a visit to Red Parot. Paid $10 cover and walked into a sparsely populate club. Inside, with bright lights around pool tables, the club looked like it needs some though on how to properly arrange a light scheme. Settled down in one of the corners hoping to have some quality time. Except a handful of dancers, others are in the 5-6 range.
One good looking girl (7) approached and settled next to me. She wanted a drink and i was ready to pay for it. Then i thought, why don't a get a dance first. Told her that we will go for one dance. She talked me into get into the VIP area which has a $20 entry fee. We settled on a couch and the area is pretty dark. Asked her to wait till the current song is over. When the song started she started the dance. When i head the DJ announcing the next song, i asked her to stop and paid $20 for one song. She told me that she danced for 3 songs and that i owed for $60. I was dumbfounded as i told her that we will go for one song. She told me DJ played two songs without an announcement in the middle. Even if i go by that it should be 2 songs i owed. She called her manager and we got into technicalities. In all these years, my experience is that dancers will always look for indication of continuing. This girl acknowldges that she didn't do that. Basically, she ripped me of as she is looking to compete her college which i can understand if she approached it the right way which is to encourage the customer to have more but not cheat this way.
THIS IS WHY ITS ABOUT TIME CLUBS SWITCH TO PREPAY DANCES SO THAT THESE TYPES UNPROFESSIONAL PRACTICES CAN BE STOPPED.
If you can skip this club, not worth the aggravation given low quality dances and ambiance.
