By chance I had a meeting cancelled nearby so had a few hours to kill and the Axe was my first

God knows how this places keeps going. The whole area is changing around it so quickly and this run-down old pub is now surrounded by new developments and I am sure it is only a matter of time before someone turns this into yet-another trendy, hipster eating joint or pulled down for more glass-box housing. Thankfully it has held the tide back so far and long may it continue.

As reported before, the place is very relaxed and the bar prices are decent. The quality of the girls vary but they are all very friendly (mainly Easter European) and there is no major pressure.
