Pretty nice, but be careful

Showcase Club sits to the side of a dark road in a light industrial area. The area is not an inviting part of town. However, it looks like it sees most of its population or inhabitants during the daytime. There was no random riff raff wandering around the night I was there. The parking lot is brightly lit, and it never felt like me or my van were in danger. You enter the club and someone somewhere directs you to a glassed over window where a man asks for $30. Once inside the club, which is about the size of a donut shop, the immediate move is to head for the bar. This is where the first lesson is, there is no alcohol being sold. Instead you are supposed to get a red cup for $5 and go make yourself a drink in your car and come back in. The rest of the club is really very casual, but not sleazy or uncomfortable in any way. The dancers make the audience feel right at home anyway.

On the dancers, there seemed to be a little bit of something for everyone. Younger girls, older girls, all races and ethnicities. There was no one drop dead insane gorgeous, but there were some 8s and possibly 9s. The girls are friendly, most importantly. The pressure to get a dance is not ridiculous. The girls stop to talk with you and you can send them on their way if you're not interested. I got taken for a bit of a ride by a girl who gave me dance...and then kept dancing...and dancing. She suddenly declared that it had been 10 dances. Well, it was certainly more than one song...not so sure about 10. Anyway, I liked the place a lot and intend to go back. I will be counting and listening more carefully next time.
