Mirage

The new name of this club is Mirage (how original!). Arrived a little past 1am on a Friday night. $15 cover charge at the door. I'm already annoyed and know that if it's a $15 cover charge the rest of the pricing is going to be city level and obnoxious. To their credit it is one of the more nicer interiors and bar areas that I have seen since moving to the island, strip club wise. It is not grimy, gross and dated like crystal cafe or the carousel.

There is even a separate VIP/bar section on the opposite side of the building. I was surprised by the lack of people here considering it was a Friday night and after midnight. That is never a good sign. I make my way to the regular bar area and order a $10 Heineken (!) and took a seat. Two women on stage dancing, one woc and one white brunette , believe she was Russian. As I am sipping on my Heineken, the white woman on stage approaches and puts her hand out for a tip. She is fully clothed, not even her top is off. I reach over the bar and hand her a dollar bill. To my surprise she proceeds to throw the dollar back at me! She then states that my dollar wasn't good enough for her and to take my cheap ass home! Considering I just paid $10 for a beer I don't feel I'm the cheap one here.. Anyways,once that ordeal was over with another woc, who was walking the floor, approached me.

Basic small talk and chit chat. Asked for a tip right off the bar. I didn't touch or grab her at all but she insisted on a tip so I gave her $2. Only gave her the two bucks because I didn't want another one of my singles to be thrown back in my face. After tipping her she asked if I'm interested in a dance, I say not right now, just hanging at the bar and drinking. Totally ignoring me She then says i should really do a VIP room. Out of curiosity we talk pricing. She quotes me $350 for a half hour, a really good deal she says! I declined the offer and again said I was just going to hang at the bar. After a minute of awkward silence she again asked if she can get a tip!! Begrudgingly I gave her another $2 and she walked away. Disgusted by the rude nature of the two women I interacted with, I just chugged the rest of my $10 Heineken and left. This place has potential but I was just totally turned off after those poor interactions. Is there one good club on Long Island? Lol.
