Weekday Afternoon

Was in the area so I had to make a trip to Vic's. My plan was to hit both Bottoms Up and Vics, since they are only about 1/2 mile apart, and I'd never been to Bottoms Up. The GPS led my up Lyon's Ave off the I-78, but unfortunately just before I hit the turn for Stuyvesant (not far from Bottoms Up) both lanes were closed for construction. And it looks like it will be that way for a very long time. So if you're planning to drive there, don't take Lyons.

Which led me to a fiasco of long backups as everyone tried to get around the construction on side streets. So I said screw it, I'll go straight to Vics. Finally got to Vics around 2pm, and after a couple of loops around the block looking for a parking space I finally settled on the one-way road (Cottage Pl) around the corner from Vics.

When I arrived there were maybe 3 girls (including Barbie) and a couple of customers. Honestly, I was really feeling the place this time, guess I wasn't really in the mood. But hey, it was Vic's, so I had to stop by.
