Casual Enough vibe, but not enough of anything else

Tried out Roxxies a few weeks ago. Club is in pretty good shape. Less of a "regulars" vibe and more like a road - stop club. Mix of dancers but more than the usual amount of Russian ladies. Over the first 1/2 hour I had two dancers com over to say hi ( at different times ). They both ( both were Russian ) stood next to me with an arm around my shoulder. To be polite I returned with an arm around their waist. I asked both if they wanted to sit down, and /or have a drink. Both declined ( seemed odd ). So after a few minutes of them standing there attempting small talk, they asked if I wanted private dance. I declined both offers just because of the unusual situation. Then a lovely lady named Remy stopped over, she was very friendly, and actually sat down and ordered a soda. I had heard that its more common than not for dancers to move in close, play, pet, make out a bit, etc. but the Russian contingent had me thinking this was some reviewer's delusion. Remy, however, while not making out, was flirty and friendly. Had a private dance with her and stopped her 1/2 way through to ask "Why do all you gals face away and just twerk at us - and call that a lap dance. I'm an old man, but let me show you what a lap dance is supposed to be" ( I said in a fun and upbeat way- don't read into the words that it was harsh or angry ). I turned her around and had her straddle my lap while I told her I wanted to look into her face. She said this was the first request she'd ever gotten like this. Most guys, she said, just want a RCG type dance with a grind. Maybe that phenomenon called an "ass job" that I've heard of somewhere on some board or other is a real thing. This needs more research I believe. Anyway. Got digits and will be following up at some point. So guys: Am I just old and have missed a totally new trend of RCG ass grind dances? Is this the new thing? I miss the Harmony...but that's a thread killer :) - party safe MMNYC
