Dingy

"Dingy' is the principal word that comes to mind when I think of this club. Not that it's small - it's actually quite cavernous, with a large front stage and ample table-side seating, almost all of which was empty on the Friday evening I visited. But grubby, run-down, a little sad. Screens show hard-core porn, presumably for those customers bored by what's on offer on stage: it's really cheesy old hard-core porn, however, so if anything a turn-off. The dancers seemed on the older side, a little shopworn, certainly showing no great enthusiasm for their job that evening. I got into conversation with a black girl who said that her fellow dancers treat this very much as a job of last resort; apparently the patron owns a number of other clubs in the Mississauga area and treats this one very much as the leftover. On the other hand, she also intimated that services of all kinds were widely available for standard fees for those with that in mind (though not from her). I took her up in the extremely open VIP area for a dance, more to be honest as an act of pity than of anything else, as she wasn't really my type (bolt-ons). We went through the perfunctory motions before I felt it was respectable to leave. Not impressed. Dingy.
