low key place to hang out

I visited Scruples for the first time on a Friday evening in March. Immediately upon walking in you find the bar. It is rectangular and surrounded by about thirty reasonably comfortable stools. I did not see any other seating for customers in the club. Inside the bar area are two stages. At any given time one girl is dancing on one stage with her top on, and another is dancing topless on the other. After finishing her topless dance, a dancer makes her way around the bar collecting tips and gauging interest in lap dances. Some girls were looking for three or four dollars, others were happy with one.

The club itself is a medium sized rectangular room. It's not very impressive, but it's not dirty or uncomfortable either. The club offers a bucket of five small bottles of beer for $8. That was kind of fun and seemed like a good deal.

There were about ten dancers working that evening. All or almost all of them were small breasted girl next door types in about the 4 - 6 range. That can work for me, but on that night I was not inspired to try a lap dance. The dancers seemed a little defeated, like they weren't expecting to make much money. There were maybe about ten other customers in the half hour I was there. I wasn't paying much attention, but I don't think more than one or two went back for a lap dance while I was there.
