my second visit of the year to the Axe. I go to the other strip pubs nearby every week but I just cannot afford too often the amounts I always spend in the Axe, and I usually restrict myself to 2 hours there. A £20 dance in the Axe is much better value than the £10 (before 5pm) dances in Browns,Horns and Griffin because it is a lap dance and not the tame air dance. Long may this continue! About 10 dancers were on, 4 of which are my faves and a must for private dances. Of the others there were 2 others I would have liked a dance with but didn't want to spend any more. Another 2 I would never have a dance with, and 2 were OK but way down my list. Not many customers, maybe a dozen, but the private dance room was nearly always packed. This is not a place to go to really unless you want private dances. The stage dances were as low key as usual and a bit annoying as most put little effort into it and it makes you spend pound coins even more frequently than Browns etc. Drink bottled beer or spirits, try to avoid the Gents,indulge with dances and you will have a very good time here.
