Bored on a Wednesday

I used to go here all the time a while back, so, with a couple of hours to kill, I stopped in for nostalgia's sake.... boy how things had changed.... I used to walk in and the girls would flock over, as the afternoon girls needed to complete their drink quota. Instead, on this Wednesday afternoon, I was pretty much ignored as the 3 ladies working, other than the bartender, but they were already sitting with other customers so I didn't think anything of it. One thing that I have always liked about this place, though, is their drink prices are very reasonable, except for the $12 dancer drinks. So after being there about an hour, I was approached by Rose, a young petite girl with a few tattoos. She sat down next to me and proceeded to be no fun to talk to... I would try to spark some kind of conversation but she kept looking over my shoulder at a regular, who she must have been told about by someone. I thought, then, that I would give this girl an out, I excused myself and headed outside to 'check something on my car.' When I came in a few minutes later, she was talking to the regular guy and I thought, great.. Now I can talk to another of the girls or just finish my drink and leave. Rose apparently didn't pick up my message of, 'hey, you can go talk to that guy, it's fine" because she came back over to sit by me and then sat in silence until I finished my drink and left.

Overall, I may stop back in again, for the nostalgia, but this place will never be a regular place for me. Even though I only live down the road.
