Disappointment
Visited this club on a Tuesday evening during a business trip to Hartford. It was a Tuesday, so I wasn't expecting it to be very lively to begin with - I knew going in that I was likely to find a dead to near-dead club.
The parking lot is relatively clean, although there was a lot of piled up snow around from a recent snowstorm so it was a bit worse than it seems like it is normally. The entrance is in one corner of the building, and as you walk in your immediately at a check-in desk where you're asked to pay the $5 cover charge. Ahead to your right is the bar, with the stage just beyond it, and some tables directly ahead. There's a pool table directly to your right around a short wall, and the men's restroom is off beyond the end of the bar also to the right as you're coming in. There are a few tables directly ahead, and a roped-off VIP/bottle service area just beyond them - at least that's what that area felt like. I didn't ask or venture beyond the ropes to find out.
Even with my low expectations, this club managed to disappoint. While the physical club was about average for clubs I've been to, the dancers on shift were lackluster, and almost robotic in their dancing. I only saw three dancers the entire time I was there; all three were black women, and one was in the heavyset category. None of them approached me to chat, much less to buy a dance, and I left after about 30 minutes disappointed even after my low expectations. I hope the environment is better on the weekends, but I wasn't in town long enough to find out.
