Slicks

Accidentally stumbled upon Slicks on my way to I believe candy girls while in Irvington for a day. I visited a number of clubs during this time (see my latest Vics or Pardizios review) for a recap. Slicks was reportedly closed on TUSCL. I don’t live in the area so I don’t know the history. After doing a bit or research I found that there was a deadly shooting there a few years back where the owner’s son was shot and killed outside the club. Not sure if it was closed because of that at some point and time but was open this cold late Wednesday night which would really have been Thursday morning.

I got there maybe around 1:30AM or so. Kinda iffy on the time. Not many cars in the area so me not being familiar I was kinda on guard walking up but had no issues. I can tell it was almost closing time when I got there or close to it. Walked up and the guy inside the door was like you know it’s a $5 cover right? As if I didn’t want to pay for a short visit. I paid the cover, got patted down and went through metal detectors. The first thing I notice was that the place had way to much lighting for a black strip club. That’s never a good thing. Soon as you walk in the bar is right in front of you with highchair seating all around. The club is not that big. All black club and dancers with your typical black clientele. Only three customers including me and 3 dancers. Grabbed a corona for maybe $7 bucks. Had to use the jon but couldn’t find it so ended up asking the guy at the door and he pointed to the back while saying “it’s a shitty bathroom just so you know” lol. This guy is full of disclaimers. Came back out and then wanted to see what the dancers look like. It was one who looked rather young and thin. Not my type. She was on stage hopping around not dancing. Irked the hell out of me. Of course she was the first one that came to me. We chatted it up for a few seconds then she told me to let her know if I wanted a dance. I said ok and she bounced. Another dancer was on her phone at the bar not paying attention to anything other than. The last dancer was talking to a custy. She then gets up and walks towards me. She looks like my type of dancer from the front, big juicy things and a big ass. She walks by me kinda in a hurry so I didn’t stop her. Damn I missed out. Fellas this chick reminded me of Cherokee D’ Ass ( google her if you don’t know) in every capacity. She even favored her in the face and had the ass to match. Well she came back to the seat with the previous customer, and ended up going to what appeared to be the VIP room with this guy. Looks like a closet of some sort from the outside but I’m sure that was the VIP. Soon as that happened, the other dancer who was on the phone was no longer preoccupied but she wasn’t near as built like the other chick was. She rubbed up against me a bit. She wasn’t that thick nor was she a looker and her ass was flat so as you imagined I gave her like 3 bucks for trying. Didn’t ask for dance prices.

This club has potential. A bit to much lighting for my liking. I was there too late and at an inopportune time as the storm had just hit the day before so maybe didn’t get an accurate experience to document. I get the feeling that it may be somewhat of a party club but has some dive like elements. I asked the door guy if they had a dayshift and he responded questioning the term dayshift as if he had no idea what that was. I then rephrased my question by asking him what time they opened. He went and asked the DJ and he said 4pm. But that one dancer that looked like Cherokee D’Ass is enough to make me fly back to NJ.
