Visited: Monday After Midnight

I intended to go to Scores Mansion around 23:00 on a Monday night, but did not because: (1) I was told by the doorman that I was outside the dress code wearing a muscle shirt and (2) they were actually charging a cover on a Monday night while most of the Bourbon peel joints were free entry. I doubled back around 02:00 when Bourbon Street was dying down. They were no longer charging a cover and were about an hour from closing. The doorman still hassled me about the dress code, but relented when he realized that there were few potential customers still out and about in the French Quarter. A glass of Coke was an outrageous $10. Bottles of beer are also $10. The bar is to your direct right as you enter. The main stage is an island with a pole in the front room. The secondary stage is in the back room along the left wall and has three pole positions. It was not in use.

The club has not changed at all since I first visited in September of 2010. Back when this club was fairly new and had only been around for about three years, the inside was actually somewhat clean and inviting. Unfortunately, the club has not had money or maintenance put into it since it opened, so the interior is worn, stained, and dirty. It really makes you wonder how many guys have farted on the chairs over the years. Lap dances take place upstairs in a community room with couches. Lap dances are $40 per song or three songs for $100. The VIP room is also upstairs at a rate of $250 for fifteen minutes and $360 for a half hour. I’ve heard the waitresses and dancers expect tips on top of those prices. Not a single dancer on this night’s shift had me considering going upstairs.
