I made a second visit to Marios on a recent Saturday night. Not as good an experience as the first time, in part, perhaps, because Nula, the most memorable dancer from my first time, wasn't there. I had 4 dances, two pretty good, two perfunctory. There were plenty of lovely girls from whom to choose. The principal reasons I'm giving a lower rating are two: First, the stage, which is too high and the seating near it far too cramped either for comfort or movement, even when there aren't many customers in the seats. Dollar dances tend to be mechanical and impersonal. Second, as on a previous Saturday, there was a bachelor party in the VIP room. This I don't mind -- there can be nothing quite as annoying as a crowd of drunken yahoos making life miserable for other customers in the main room -- but this party seemed to have inhaled most of the female talent out of the public areas, to the extent that it was sometimes hard to find an available dancer. I'll probably go back sometime if I'm in the neighborhood, but I don't think Marios will be a "destination" club for me any time soon.
