Afternoon Visit
Stopped in around 4 p.m. and took my usual seat at the bar. While waiting for the bartender, I looked around and took note of some of the recent phase 2 remodeling. I knew about the phase 1 smaller stage remodel from a past visit, but I noticed the different seating area beyond the stage at the west side of the main room. The numerous small tables and round lounge chairs which were all on floor level have been replaced with tiered seating a couple levels high. The seats are now vinyl covered bench type that hold 3-4 people rather than individual chairs. Even though I didn't sit in them they did not look that comfortable, and the seating when with a dancer doesn't look that cozy. I am disappointed with this remodel job along with the earlier phase 1 change which reduced stage size and added that seating counter between the bar and the stage. I have been going their for years and enjoyed the old setup. The view of the stage from the bar isn't as good anymore, and now the backup seating consists of those benches. (Note there are still 3 of those small tables with the round chairs to the right of the stage .)
If hungry, I suggest the $5 hamburger and domestic beer special (add $1 for cheese and another $1 for fries). Subsequent domestic beers are $4. The bartender told me about the $1 beer happy hour price from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
There must have been 10-12 dancers on shift when I was there. Quite a variety, range from 5-8, white and AA, short, tall, slim and heavy. The hottest was a well built short haired blond that was glued to one of her regulars most of the time. The ladies took their turns on the stage for their 3 song sets. Some were just going through the motions and some showed some energy. Notice one dropped her g-string on the last dance.
