Surprisingly Busy for Saturday Lunch
Booked on a Saturday afternoon flight out of PBI, I arrived in the area a couple hours early and decided on lunch at WPB strip club. Of the five clubs near the airport, DoubleDee's and Monroe's were closed at noon, and on previous early-afternoon visits the Spearmint Rhino and T's had been dead--so, off to the Cheetah. Club is easy to find the second time--Shawnee runs south of Obechokee, but not continuously, and the club sign is not visible from the main drag. Free parking, $1 cover, and free lunch (same as the other two SoFla Cheetahs) means a low starting price. Cool. The club's physical plant is nice enough; entering the main room there is a large rectangular bar with a stage in the center; to the right is the main stage, surrounded by tables and a second smaller bar off to the side. Friction room is to the left. Three bartenders working the big bar, all friendly and efficient; at 12:05 pm there were 6-8 dancers in evidence and about a dozen PLs, many there for lunch like me. Dancers were OK (mainly in the 6-7 range), IMHO a notch less attractive than Cheetah Pompano; one AA dancer and a couple of Latinas made for a good variety of looks. Call liquor was expensive ($9), water and beer were more reasonable. Approached by a few dancers; passed on ROB Jade (major dance over-counting problems on my last visit) but had a nice conversation with a tall, slender blond, followed by a couple of dances in the back. Good experience, typical WPB two-way contact; only complaint was that the lap dance area had poorly-functioning A/C (the rest of the club was OK, but the back area was stuffy). Hung out at the bar until it was time for my flight; when I left the crowd had grown to 30-40 customers, pretty busy for a Saturday early-afternoon.
Overall, a good experience, one which I would happily repeat. Cheetah WPB continues with a solid dayshift operation even on Saturdays.
