Decent experience

I've been to Rick's several times now. Overall I'd say it's a pretty good experience, but nothing stellar. Recently they've started charging $20 to use the little privacy booths for lap dances. They give you a wristband and it's good for the night. Not happy at all about that, and so far I've resisted paying it. I just choose a chair that is fairly private.

Checked into VIP, but I haven't decided if it's worth it. $495 /yr, which gets access to VIP area, no cover for you and up to 3 friends. Doesn't seem to amount to much more than that.

Lots of dancers from Cuba, which is interesting. Seem to claim language barrier, but I think they know more than they let on.
