Friday Night at Hot Ash

Club Hot Ash is one of those places you drive by and wonder what its like but dont get around to checking out on casual notice. Thats because of its location on Kamehameha Highway near the powerplant. You can only reach it heading east bound down the highway towards Waimalu, In daylight it looks like a dumpy building with another business next to it and a small parking lot, which quickly fills to capacity. I would recommend a cab or ride share there as opposed to driving since if youre drinking its quite a distance from where anybody would live unless youre in the neighborhood.

A few impressions. Hot Ash has a kind of laid back, homey feel. Its not a posh gentlemen's club and doesnt have the pretenses of one. Instead it feels more like a normal bar except that there are girls dancing and hustling drinks.

First things first: No cover charge, at least not at 10pm or so when i arrived. Its just a two drink minimum with import beers around 7$, not exactly cheap drinking, but you didnt pay a cover. Ladies drinks are 20,
