First visit to Temptations.

I was in KC for a convention and, on the last night, visited Temptations to unwind a little. Temptations in located just south of the Sprint Center and is a short walk from the Power & Light District and various hotels.

I walked in and paid the $19 cover. There is a small partition at the end of the bar where the waitress takes the cover. After paying I went in, walked past the bar, and looked for a place to sit. Being a Tuesday night, there weren't many customers and about 10 girls. The building is long and narrow with the bar on the left as you walk in and, I learned later, the VIP area to the right. There are a few tables in front of a long stage which ends at the back wall. Restrooms and the dressing room are located behind the stage and accessed from the bar side There were long, vinly upholstered benches against the wall along either side of the stage. They kind of reminded me of extra long booth seats you might find in a restaurant. The stage protrudes enough so the stage side chairs can be pushed under the edge when not in use. It's a narrow aisle between the benches and chairs if someone is sitting stage side. One interesting thing to me was a small, 3-sided couch in an area with a small stage and a pole at the end of the bar. Customers can sit in this area, but the dancers can only be on the small stage or sitting with the customer. They can't acutally do a dance there.

The VIP area is opposite the bar and accessed by going up two steps and through a curtained door. It's long and narrow with a single "couch" running the entire length along the wall. It's similar to the benches along the stage only upholstered in cloth. Pick an open spot and sit down. There is no privacy at all. Dances are $20/song.

The dancers were mostly friendly and didn't push hard for dances or drinks.There were about 10 girsl working; 2 balck and the rest white. The first one who approached me explained the basics to me...bikini club, no nudity on stage, etc. I went back with a cute brunette spinner for a couple of dances. She allowed touching everywhere but below the belt, but no clothes came off. Later on, I was approached by a blond that i consdered the best looking dancer there that night. We went back for a couple off dances and she pulled her top down early on and allowed more touching than the first girl, After her stage set (2 songs with some cheesy canned applause at the end of the 2nd song) she came and sat back down with me. I bought her a $12 drink and we went back to the VIP for a few more dances. MIleage varies by the girl and, even though I didn't ask, I think OTC could be available.

All in all, it was't a bad experience and I'll probably go back when I'm in KC again later this spting.
