This was my first time in blondies in almost a year, and I'm not sure I'll be back anytime soon. The layout of the club is the same weird setup with the bar separating the front and back half of the club. To say the place is run down isn't exactly fair, but the owners could stand to put a little money into the front bar area. Though I do think they have the cheapest beer of all the clubs in the area.
Besides the cheap beer I'm not sure what blondies offers over any of the other clubs in the area. There were 6 or 7 girls on the Sunday afternoon I went in around 4pm. Most were black with 2 being white. Unfortunately 3 or so were simply too overweight for my tastes, and I prefer thicker women. The others were still only maybe a 6/10 at best. I didn't get any names because I wouldn't make a special trip to see any of them. The ones I talked to on the stage and at the tables didn't give off the vibe anything other than dancing happened in the back. And the dance prices I was quoted were definitely higher than the other dive clubs around. Somehow blondies is trying to charge hustler club prices for c mowes quality girls which ain't gonna happen.
Even if I hadn't read there was new management I definitely felt it on my visit. I don't know if there's a whole new roster of girls, or if Sunday's are when all the new girls have to work, but no one seemed to have a clue what was going on. The bartender was obviously new so if you didn't order beer she had no clue how much a drink cost. None of the dancers knew when they would be on stage since there was no set rotation. And none of the girls I talked to even knew how much the club charged for a back room! I'll give it a month or so and try again to see if they work the kinks out.
