CROWDED ON A FRIDAY EVENING

I went to the Nags Head on Friday evening with a lady friend who enjoys watching girls dance for me. I have not previously been on a Friday and it was heaving with male customers. My friend was the only female customer and, whilst no one said anything, I would not rate it as couple friendly. My friend liked the atmosphere, preferring it to the more clinical feel of most strip clubs. There were 8 or 9 dancers; we enjoyed watching the dances on stage (still £1 in the pot). But the place was so busy that it was hard to find a girl who was not already busy. And the one we did ask about a private dance said that it was against the rules for my friend to watch unless she had another girl dance for her (which she never wants). We spent most of 2 hours watching the girls on the stage but gave up around midnight (the place closes at 1am). It was getting slightly less crowded by then. I still recommend the place for what it is, one of the few strip pubs left on the London scene.
