I've only been to a couple...

I've only been to a couple of clubs in Charlotte (I rarely get there) and this was my first visit to Gold Club. More or less of necessity, this was an afternoon visit, 2:00-3:30; free parking and no cover charge. I met TUSCL member RTP there, and he gave me the lowdown on the dances: $10 topless on the first floor (in plain view) and $30 upstairs for not much more exposure – and generally not worth it, he said, but YMMV.

Had a seat at the bar before being quickly approached by a couple of girls. It seemed like there were maybe 6 to 10 girls working. When we got there, there were fewer than 4 or 5 patrons, and by the time I left there were maybe 10, so the ratio was pretty favorable. The girls were all attractive enough to get dances from (I'm not super-picky for a $10 dance); most were white, a couple were AA. All the ones I talked to seemed nice.

It looked like they only had one stage, and no one danced on it until about 3:00. This is a topless place, and I did not see any stage tipping. The music was at a nice volume, allowing easy conversation with the girls, and I heard no DJ while I was there. There is also no smoking (or at least I saw no smokers nor ashtrays).
