sinclair's Review
I went to Rick’s Sporting Saloon around 1:15am on a Saturday night. This was the only Bourbon Street strip club that I had yet to step foot in. There was no cover charge. A bottle of beer was $7 and a shot was $14. The waitresses were a little pushy. The club is long and narrow. There are two bars: one on the front wall and one on the back wall. There are two stages, both along the right wall of the club. The main stage in the front room has a stationary pole. The secondary stage in the back room has a spinning pole. I preferred the stage in the front because it was at a more comfortable level to sit and tip; the back stage was at the level of your neck when you are sitting, which made stage tipping awkward. The club seemed cramped. With a full crowd sitting inside on Saturday night, it was hard to walk between the tables and the worn chairs. There are eleven televisions and one ninety-two inch screen playing sports. The bathroom troll is Haitian. He did not understand English well, so I ended up talking to him in French.
Table dances are $20 and lap dances in a community room on the side of the club are $40. Bouncers and customers can easily see into the lap dance area, so privacy is minimal. I only got one table dance from a dancer named Ayla. She is a fit, freaky black dancer. I don’t tend to travel the Hershey Highway, but Ayla had a nice slim figure and did not act ghetto like most Big Easy chocolate. I was able to touch her hips and legs, but touching of the breasts is off limits for table dances. She told me three private dances were $125, which did not make sense since they are only $40 each.
The dancers here are supposed to be a step down from Rick’s Sporting Saloon’s sister club, Rick’s Cabaret. The dancers here are more likely to be heavily tattooed or have had kids versus the flagship club two blocks away. In reality, I think the talent between the two clubs was on par because the average age here was lower, and the dancers had better attitudes. I counted thirteen dancers, but there may have been one or two in the dressing room. Upon entering, I was latched onto by a short-haired blonde with an average body from Milwaukee. She was pushing for dances and the VIP right off the bat, so I knew she was not worth my time. Lilith is an Alabama girl with glasses. I would rate her attractive if she was not showing stretch marks from having had a kid. Raven is a skinny brunette with an undercut and tattoos. I would have followed up with her for dances, but she was parked at a table of guys most of my visit. The hottest dancer was Sinclair prototype: a fit, tatted white girl that I’d rate a 9.5. She put on a pole dancing clinic, but got occupied by a couple of young bisexual Tulane students upon exiting the stage. I wish I would have gotten her name. Another redhead with pale skin was just as good on the pole. The rest of the line-up was ho-hum: dancers that were a little too curvy or were not HWP.
