Not worth the hype
I visited twice just after the holidays and gotta say - not a big fan of the remodel here. I really think the previous layout was just fine and I personally think the new reno makes everything feel cramped and less appealing. Seems like there's now 3 or 4 disjointed rooms and they open up given areas depending on how busy it is. I used to feel like the club still had a collective vibe to it even with different sections but now it feels like I'm spending time in 3 different, lame, small and interconnected clubs.
I'll have to cut the club some slack since it was not too long after the holidays when I visited and it probably didn't have all of its A-list dancers. But I can't see it being too much better. It was just alright. Mostly dancers in the 7 range but the typical Rhino dancer just gives off a really "well-seasoned stripper in her 30s" vibe or otherwise a "cute foreign girl" vibe. Honestly those two categories probably account for about 60-70% of the dancers here most nights.
I did score one or two dancers who gave some pretty decent LD's in the main area at $20 a pop. And the hustle factor was a bit lower than I was bracing myself for so that was slightly refreshing. The cover charge on my first visit was something ridiculous like $60 (I usually remember details like that but in this case I think my mind blocked off the extreme ripoff price as a defense mechanism). The second visit - I used their limo service and tipped the driver $15 which was obviously a better option and recommended.
