Long Time Since the Last Time

Oh wow... this is my first review on this site in years! That's because I hadn't visited a club in a few years. On this day, a buddy of mine wanted to visit Taboo. Being a close drive from where I lived, I asked him to pick up a couple of OC Weekly's for the free pass inside and off we went.

Arrived at 9:00 on a Saturday night and the place was still pretty sparse. Similar to vultures perched on a dead tree, most of the girls were arranged all around the floor and sitting on the perimeter couches as they all eyeballed my friend and I like fresh kill. We sat down and were greeted by at least six of the girls in a two-minute span. Some asked for a dance while others made an effort to sit and chat before asking the inevitable question.We were not there to go and get a dance the minute we arrived. We honestly wanted to chill and and take in the club before our money started getting separated from us. Some girls understood that while others seemed to take offense when we said no. It was very annoying when that did happen.

Girls ranged from skinny to athletic to heavy. Mostly white girls but many were Latina and maybe one Asian girl.The one girl that struck up a conversation with me was a this white girl named Nova. She was in good shape and knew how to work it on stage and on the pole but I knew this girl was drunk and stoned out of her head. Tried her best to hold a conversation but was slurring everything she was trying to say. She blamed the gum that she was chewing but that didn't help even when she took it out of her mouth. I probably wasn't going any further with this one but a 3-for-30 came on and took the chance with her in the back. The lap dance was OK but I kinda felt bad because she was so out of it. The three songs were over and I paid her and she was on her way.
