Grand Reopening

After being closed for remodeling since around the end of November the Blue Diamond has finally reopened. There are quite a bit of improvements to see; both the inside and the out. Unfortunately they couldn't expand the parking lot much. Inside everything looks nice and new with a larger, more accessible stage especially since the bar has been moved to where the stage used to be. The VIP rooms look like they would offer good privacy with real doors and not just the beads or streamers that other clubs have. The pricing for the VIP rooms are $135 for 30 minutes and $250 for a hour. I did not go for a VIP so I have no further information on them.

Stage dancing was pretty good that night with a lot of fresh new faces at the club; a little younger and less jaded looking then some of the other clubs on 7th Street.

It appears that they are trying to bring a higher class of club to 7th Street. It remains to be seen if that can work or not. Personally I hope that it can and I plan on returning.
