Pre-Party Prep

The atmosphere on the Calle with HK and AD on the same block is electric. There is no replacing those two due to the atmosphere that they have created and cultivated. Being new to the scene I have kept myself two those particular spots on prior visits mainly as that's where most people go and I wasn't yet adventurous enough to expand out. However, the more I visit and the more my curiosity has taken me a little farther around the Calle but not too much. I came across D&G while standing over by the taco stand to the west of HK. There are some barkers there and I took them up on their offer of shots and a bucket of beer, and me and a couple buddies of mine decided to see what was up with this spot.

From the outside the place is lit up like a christmas tree with full neon lights advertising the place. We followed through behind some velvet curtains and the layout of the building is rectangular, a long booth like couch on one side saddled with tables and seats and it being mimicked across on the opposite side. In the middle there two stages that have tables near them. Along the walls are mirrors and the whole place is decked out with lights and other visual instruments that try to pump out a party atmosphere. When we walked in there were probably at lease 10 other patrons in a place designed to accommodate around 10 times that. We were seated near a large flat screen tv showing an NBA game which was cool. A masero brought us six Dos XX beers and 3 shots of tequila like the barker had promised if we went in. After we settled the bill and tipped we settled down to now turn our attention to the girls. There was a total of 8 of them when we got there ranging from 6 to a couple of 8's, which was cool. Compared to the craziness that is HK and AD this environment was a lot more relaxed and while talking to some of the girls (which of course you need to buy a ficha drink) I realized that this was a perfect contrast to take advantage of. Cheap beer for a club and a relaxed reprieve is necessary to add to the experience. Some of the girls do rotate on the stages and give a little show so long as some tips come their way they get a little bit more adventurous. The also have a couple VIP rooms which you need to take some staircases up to which add a lot more privacy if you do decide to take a girl up. I did notice a glassed shower stall towards the back of the establishment but the masero said has seen it used a couple of times and that the girls aren't really into the shower show which is fine. Overall a good visit for some cheap drinks!
