Stewies is Closed

After spending many a night at Stewies as well as other area clubs in Ft. Wayne several years ago, I ventured back to town last week and learned that Stewies is indeed closed as reported in the response below. The owner passed away a few months ago and the club sits empty. Stewies transformed a good bit over the years as a popular biker bar to a working man's club. One of the few clubs I've ever seen that would hire a handicapped dancer. Some nights the club was a good time, but often it would be pretty empty with few dancers and less customers.

The rest of the Ft. Wayne scene remains mostly unchanged with only The Harem taking the place of the old Shangrila East. The Harem has a decent day shift and is open at 11am. Poor John's also changed names (not sure about ownership) to Rabbit's. Probably not one of the safest locations, I'd stick to one of the other larger clubs in FW.
