This was my third time to "The Block." The first time was more than ten years ago, and I remember little except that I wasn't impressed. The second time was several months ago on a Sunday afternoon. I stopped at the Hustler where nothing was happening - no girls, no music, nothing. I then went next door to Club Pussycat and had a fairly good time. Most recently, about a week ago, I stopped in to Chez Joey where two girls were working but I was the only patron. The girls had little to recommend them either in looks or personality so I quickly left and returned to the Pussycat.
As I understand it this club is laid out like all other Block clubs, Hustler excepted. Long and narrow with the bar running almost the length of the club and seating 15-20 patrons. The stage is equally long and narrow running the length of the bar and backed by a large mirror. The decor had a 60's ambiance. Music was played from a jukebox. The girls selected their songs before going on stage for three songs. They would work down to full nudity on stage, some more quickly than others. No stage tipping, but they circulated the bar afterwards to collect tips. A dollar generally seemed satisfactory. A Coke cost me $8 plus tip.
There were five girls working this day. I'd rate them as 4-6 on a 10- point scale. They all seemed to have a few years on them with several looking like late 30's. Nothing special about any of them.
