Downtown potential

I like Denver its a great town and there are a lot of clubs but the ones I been to that I like are a ways from downtown. I was visiting for some work meetings staying downtown and decided to walk over to this place for a drink and a look and maybe get a dance. It was real close like 2 blocks from my hotel so that was a real plus. The inside is very nice, fancy. Lots of curtains and stuff. It was dark but good light in the right places like on stage and the whole place was medium size which is nice too. I got there early and it was pretty empty. They let me in for a cheap cover I think maybe $5. Went in and sat at the bar while one girl danced and two girls sat in chairs in the back. There were 2 other customers sitting at a table. Theres a main stage in the middle of the room. I think there was no pole. But I think also a side stage and that might have had a pole. Around the main stage are some small tables and chairs but no tip row. You have to stand at the stage edge to tip. And more chairs around the walls. It was too empty for the side stage so the girls only danced on the main one. Music for the dancers was not too loud at the bar, and played decent music. I ordered my drink and watched some of a Thursday night football game. The bartender was great. She was real pretty, a local girl, and she chatted me up as we both passed the time waiting for the club to pick up. Gave me a good deal on some of the strong stuff instead of beer.

The dancers were pretty but I only saw a few of them since it was early. Mostly youngish blonde spinner types. Most danced ok, 1 or 2 were a little low energy. But the place was pretty empty. Nothing fancy in the dancing though, no acrobats up there. I saw one or two I thought I might like to get a dance with, but 1 finished her dances and headed back to the dressing room, and the other finished up and went to sit with the two guys there. After about a hour and a half, only 2 or 3 more girl had shown up, and 1 or 2 more dudes walked in. The bartender told me the place picks up later in the night. I headed out and thought I might come back later - they gave me a handstamp so I wouldnt have to pay again. But I never made it back over. Didnt get to experience this place in full swing, but looked to me like good potential. I got a much better vibe than most downtown clubs at cities I been to, where they tend to cater to tourists and out of towners. Def worth checking out since its so convenient and the girls look nice. Not too expensive either. Next time I go back will for sure try to visit later at night and see whats what.
