Strange place. The night that I was there, about a month ago on a weekend monger's trip to Houston, the vibe was just ALL WRONG. I admit, I might have seen this place on an off-night. Three times a bouncer / manager type grabbed a different girl by her upper arm and violently hustled her out of the main room, and twice I can confirm that her egregious error was standing still at the bar smiling. I visited with girls who were dollar-tipping only to be rebuffed. Like, I offered one buck to a royal hottie, she grudgingly took it, then said, "OK you're done go away" as though perhaps that would be cute. I didn't like it, or maybe I just don't have a sense of humor. I did agree to one private dance with a more pushy girl, as much to get her off my back as to find out what the dances were like here. They have several side rooms with nice fireplaces, and I have to admit the layout was about the best of any club I've been to in the Houston area. Plus the girls were all above-par, very attractive. In fact, I recognized that most of the attractive women from Treasures from my previous trip a month earlier had migrated to Gold Cup for this date, and I even made a perfunctory pass through Treasures just to see whether I was right and VOILA was not surprised to see (more in that club's review) that on that particular evening it was mostly below-par girls. So maybe they rotate them through, breaking them in at Centerfolds or Treasures and then saving the best looking ones for Gold Cup once they've learned the unspoken rules. The private dance that I got was "normal" Houston fare, full contact grindage, but no extras offered. I think the tall high-backed chairs might make that possible here. But then, higher levels of lighting, and the bouncers with the upper-arm dragging act ... ? I dunno. Strange bad vibe.
