Mermaids is a decent club in Virginia Beach, although in Virginia Beach, girls are required to wear full bottoms/full tops, so they usually dance in a bikini, lingerie, "boyshorts", etc. Mermaids has a full bar, good bartenders and a very friendly staff of waitresses. The dancers are pretty decent, a few in particular are very good at working on the pole, and floor work. Others, you wonder why they are still dancing...? Mermaids is very clean, however, there are a lot of black lights, so if you are sensitive to these, you won't want to enter this place. There is no cover, and they host a wet-t contest every Thursday from 6-8 pm. I attended one of those, the girls seem to have fun with it, and there was a lot of them, probably like 8-10 dancers who did the wet-tee contest. All in all, I would recommend mermaids as a fun place to watch go-go dancing, but don't expect any nudity or topless dances, because in Virginia Beach, you just can't get it. Go to Portsmouth if you're looking for that.
