A ghost town of a club in afternoons with a few shining lights

This club has been a favorite of mine for many years, and I used to frequent it much more often. Afternoons were actually quite decent at this club, but this day was definitely the exception (for the most part). As it has always seemed to be, there's a $10 cover, and a minimum 2-drink ($7 each), so you're out $24 before you've seen an uncovered beauty. There were only 4 dancers in the club and the DJ was spinning a song in between the two-dance set (one dance where the on-stage entertainment removed her top, and the next where she removed everything else). I thought it may be time to just sit at the mushroom head of the stage and enjoy the writhing on-stage bodies with a little more, verve.

Laziness got the better of me, and was visited by a very talkative and a bit on the heftier side dancer who apparently took my indifferent stare as an invitation to sit down beside and spew words at me with a cadence that had me missing every other word. Apparently my one word replies were enough to telegraph my unwillingness for the interaction to proceed, and she hurried off to assault another patron.

In what seemed like eons later a beauty from the southernly most portions of the Americas sat down and with a zeal was able to lift my opinion of this club from the depths at which it had fallen, up to a reasonable number on the rating scale. We bantered with ease, and reduced the visible club size to just the two of us, nothing much else mattered. I sprung for some dances, and the $50 price tag ain't cheap but the dances are long, and the physical and visual usually does not disappoint.
