MLK
I tried to get into Follies about 12:30 on MLK day and the parking lot was overflowing. Knowing the inside would be too crowded for my tastes, I took care of some things and ended up at Oasis at 5 PM. No cover or parking fee. Oasis can seem really empty because it is one large room, but I did a head count and there were about 30 customers and about 20 dancers. The dancers were 90% white today. The norm seemed to be late 20's to mid 30's with bolt-on cantaloupe sized boobs. Not really my taste, but I stuck it out (no, not THAT).
Most customers were sitting alone. There were maybe 12 dancers spread out among 3-4 guys or groups. The rest sat at tables together and talked and smoked. There was no dancer circulation. This is a common problem at Oasis. It gives the room a dead feeling because there is no interaction going on at all. I was all primed for VIP (remember my first choice was Follies after all), but it was not to be. Sometimes you just know it is not going to happen and this was one of those times.
I did manage to get dances from 3 girls over 90 minutes. One gave an air dance and was one and done, but she cock blocked my table for a good half hour sitting and chatting. Nice girl to chat with, but that was not my goal :-). Another gave an OK dance with mild grind. It was her "first day". Said her instruction from management was not to do anything at a table in such a way it could be seen from 5 feet away. The other rule was not to leave condoms or wrappers in the VIP. Hey, they run a high class place.
