Club is overrated

I know that this club generally gets good reviews but I've never had an especially good experience at the Coliseum (at least when compared to some of the other Detroit metro clubs) so I'd give it a mid-tier rating in the Detroit scene.

Pros: The club is roomy inside with a long central stage and some side stages (which are used only when the place is packed). They typically have two or more dancers performing at any given time. The VIP rooms are private, comfortable and generally pretty roomy. The beer selection is good. The dancers are generally attractive----- not many especially beautiful women but at least they seem to screen out overweight dancers.

Cons. The club is smoky (in spite of the smoking ban in Michigan) and valet parking is required. In contrast to some of the other Detroit clubs, the dancers are quite inconsistent regarding extras and pricing for dances. On a recent visit, the majority of dancers that I talked with claimed to be "dance only" and others offer only very limited extra services (that is not a major "con" but it is a contrast to many other metro Detroit clubs where the majority of dancers do offer extras). I did have one dancer (Eastern European accent with a smoking hot body---- name was something like Evanna?) charge $30 per lap dance rather than the standard $25/dance (not a big deal but she announced her inflated prices after, rather than before, we had done the no-extras dances.
